A group of us was listening to music on a CD . The CD was broken - the outer shell of plastic peeled away to reveal a central spine with a row of six tubes on each side. Each tube was covered with a little copper sleeve and represented one of the cuts on the CD. To play that cut you had to slide a flexible black plastic or rubber tube over the copper sleeve. This all happened automatically and invisibly when the CD wasn't broken.
Then I had to get away to a party or gathering of some kind. A boat was leaving that would take me there, but it left before I could get there. It was then that I realized that I didn't know where my own boat, a center console outboard, was. I had loaned it to someone or left it somewhere, along with its trailer, but I couldn't remember where for the life of me. Suddenly I saw my little green car in the parking lot. Luckily I found the keys in my pocket...
